Main Street Lakewood, a program of Lakewood Community Progress (LCPI), is pleased to announce BAND2GETHER, a Summer Concert Series that will be held in downtown Lakewood on Friday evenings in July and August from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The goal of the BAND2GETHER 2008 concert series is to showcase the abilities of young musicians of middle school and high school age, while bringing citizens of all ages together to celebrate the diversity of talent in Lakewood. The 9-week series debuts in Sinagra Park on Friday, July 4 and ends August 29, 2008.

Since 2003, Main Street Lakewood’s mission has been to revitalize downtown Lakewood through innovative programs and activities that bring residents and visitors to our historic commercial district. Main Street Lakewood is partnering with Lakewood is Art (LIA) and Vance Music Studios on this project.

We need your help to us make this year’s concert series a huge success and a new Lakewood tradition. We are asking businesses, organizations and citizens to support BAND2GETHER through sponsorships or donations.

BAND2GETHER, a program of LCPI-Main Street Lakewood, is produced in collaboration with civic groups, businesses and residents. Concerts are funded by public and private grants, sponsorships, and individual donations of cash, goods and services. Main Street Lakewood is a program of Lakewood Community Progress Inc., a 501-c (3) tax-exempt organization dedicated to the revitalization of Lakewood’s historic downtown district. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.
