Spooky Pooch Parade

Spooky Pooch Parade We are excited to introduce the Spooky Pooch Parade, the newest Main Street Lakewood event that is destined to become an annual Halloween tradition. On Saturday, October 18th, Lakewood’s downtown business district will host a troupe of strolling pets and their owners – dressed for the occasion in their best Halloween costumes!  Print our Flyer for this event.

Registered pets will check-in at St. Charles Green starting at 1:00 p.m. and step-off at 2 p.m. to parade down Detroit Avenue to the Arthur Avenue Ext. next to Discount Drug Mart.  At this point, celebrity judges will give out prizes to creative participants.

All participants will be entered into a raffle drawing. Prizes include a year’s supply of dog food from Pet’s General Store (2 winners)  and a hand-built dog house from Lakewood Hardware (2 winners).
 
 

 

There will be activities for children as well asparticipation from Lakewood Animal Shelter, Lakewood Dog Park, Lakewood Hospital Therapy dogs, North Coast dog obedience demonstrations and more.  Check back to this site for details.

First 200 registrants will receive goodie-bag with items for dogs and their humans.

Must be 18 years or over. Online registration available until noon, October 17th.
